Individual & Relationship Adult Counselling

Sometimes the relationship that needs the most attention is the one with yourself.

You may feel lost in your relationship, find yourself constantly putting other people first, or hear that you are “too much” or “not enough”. Perhaps saying no feels difficult, even when you really mean no, or you find yourself saying yes when what you actually want is something very different.

I work with adults who are exploring these patterns and trying to understand where they have come from. This might include anxiety, low self-worth, people-pleasing, difficulties with boundaries, feeling responsible for everyone else, or losing a sense of who you are within your relationships.

Through adult counselling and relationship-focused therapy, I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to slow things down and explore what is happening underneath these patterns. My approach is informed by Attachment Theory, helping us to understand the experiences, relationships and beliefs that may have shaped the way you see yourself and relate to others.

Together, we can explore the “why” behind your patterns — not to blame yourself for them, but to understand them. From there, we can begin to think about what you need, where your boundaries are, and how you can start to feel more comfortable being yourself.

You don't have to keep being the person who holds everything together. Counselling can offer you the space to explore who you are beyond what others need from you, and to begin building a different relationship with yourself and, in turn, with the people around you.

I offer individual adult counselling in Didcot, Oxfordshire and online, supporting people with emotional, personal and relationship difficulties.
